SEI CMMI

There are four models:

• CMMI for Development - engineerign products
• CMMI for acquisition - for acquiring/buying products
• CMMI for services - providing services
• People CMM - developing the workforce

There are 5 levels, with level 5 being the highest (best ie highest maturity).

1. Initial - unpredicatable and reactive
2. Managed - Managed at project level
3. Defined - Proactive
4. Quantitatively managed - Measured and controlled
5. Optimizing - Stable and flexible
